Overall, well done and underrated, well worth looking out for. The voice acting is fine, again like with SilverHawks Peter Newman and Earl Hammond are the most impressive. The characters are memorable and engaging, one of those cases where the heroes are more interesting than the villains,though the latter are still convincing enough.(with SilverHawks the villains were more interesting while ThunderCats was about equal). There are similarities of course to the previous two shows, namely the voice cast being practically the same for all three, but instead of being derivative I saw it as like a refreshing hybrid of both. TIGERSHARKS CARTOON OPENING SERIES
This series had an animation style similar to the earlier-produced ThunderCats and SilverHawks that distinguished it from the other three shows in the line-up. Of the four, this was the only cartoon to be consistently shown in two-part episodes. The writing does encourage thought without preaching and doesn't feel cheesy like SilverHawks sometimes did, while the story lines are fresh, well-paced and fun. TigerSharks, showing a team of human/marine hybrids and their underwater adventures. While Lorca, the TigerSharks' tough guy, is working a solo mission on Water-O, an ominous craft, The Mantana, blasts through Water-O's atmosphere and dives deep beneath the seas that form most of the planet.
The music is great as well, the intro is very catchy and the accompanying music is fitting without being too cheesy or over-dramatic. 'TigerSharks' is the story of The TigerSharks' adventures on Water-O, a peaceful planet several galaxies removed from Earth. The character designs don't always have finesse but are above serviceable overall and the colours and backgrounds are very attractive.
The animation is of good quality, it is unmistakably 80s but that is not a bad thing.
